his service is providing data compiled daily by the Anchorage Police Department. The information is preliminary data, has not been verified, and is subject to change. The data is also susceptible to error induced by the complexity of the information gathering, processing, and mapping cycle. All reports and all report categories are not displayed. For a complete list of reports generated refer to the APD Annual Statistical Report.

With the exception of sexual assaults and domestic violence, the data represented are located only to the nearest block or intersection and not to a specific street address. Reports of sexual assaults or domestic violence are displayed at one address, 4501 Elmore (the headquarters address of the Anchorage Police Dept.), and not near their actual location, to protect the privacy of those involved. The Municipality of Anchorage is not responsible for the misinterpretation of this map and makes no inference or judgment as to the relative safety of particular areas. The Municipality of Anchorage makes no guarantee, expressed or implied, about the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or sequencing of the information.
